On March 20, 2026, a delegation led by Rector Yermek Buribayev of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov paid an official visit to Northwest A&F University (Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University) in the People’s Republic of China.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the delegation with modern agricultural technologies, particularly in the cultivation of cereal crops, and to discuss the potential use of the Chinese university’s theoretical and practical resources for joint student training programs.
During the visit, representatives of Zhetysu University reviewed the equipment and technologies used in the host university’s scientific laboratories for agricultural research. Additionally, the delegation visited practical training sites where barley, wheat, soybeans, and other crops are cultivated, gaining insights into the experience and practices of their Chinese counterparts.
This visit is expected to lay a foundation for training competitive specialists who will contribute to the development of the Zhetysu region and Kazakhstan as a whole.
