From March 23 to 27, 2026, the Republic of Kazakhstan Armwrestling Championship was held in the city of Taraz.
At this competition, students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov won prize places.
Tussupbek Zeinep Askhatkyzy – 2nd place in the 55 kg weight category
Daniyarkyzy Aiaulym – 2nd place in the 45 kg weight category
