Тhe Republican scientific and practical conference of young scientists and students titled “21st Century: Science and Innovations”

On April 8, 2026, at Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov, within the framework of Science Decade – 2026, the Republican scientific and practical conference of young scientists and students titled “21st Century: Science and Innovations” was held.

The purpose of the conference was to enhance the scientific potential of young researchers, support innovative ideas, and create a platform for exchanging experience in relevant areas of science.

The conference was organized in a hybrid format (offline and online). The event was attended by young scientists, doctoral students, lecturers, and specialists from both foreign and domestic higher education institutions. The conference program included a plenary session and sectional meetings.

The plenary session was moderated by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of the university, Doctor of Law, Professor Buribayev Yermek Abiltayevich. During the event, the Rector delivered a welcoming speech and officially opened the conference. Welcome speeches were also delivered by: Deputy Head of the Zhetysu Regional Department of Education Dastan Akhanov, Director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Zhetysu Region Dauren Onalbayev, Director of Taldykorgan Higher Polytechnic College Shyngys Nurgozhayev.

In addition to young researchers, the conference was attended by kindergarten teachers, school teachers, and education professionals. In particular, PhD Marco Fiorentini from Marche Polytechnic University delivered a report titled “Science: Today and Tomorrow”, while doctoral student Gulnaz Tolenova from the University of Zurich shared research findings based on international experience.

Furthermore, doctoral students and faculty members from domestic universities presented their research in the fields of educational innovation, digital technologies, adolescent psychology, legal regulation, and agricultural economics.

The conference included presentations in four sections:

  1. Education and Science: New Approaches and Methods (Moderator – PhD, Lecturer Aizhan Koishybekova)
  2. Social and Humanities Sciences in the Digital Era (Moderator – Lecturer Guldana Turabay)
  3. Natural Sciences and Physical-Mathematical Research (Moderator – PhD, Lecturer Aigerim Bakirova)
  4. Issues of Law and Economics (Moderator – Lecturer, Master of Law Galymzhan Akhmet)

In conclusion, the conference served as an important academic platform for developing the research potential of young scientists and students, facilitating knowledge exchange, and discussing current issues. It also contributed to enhancing professional competencies of education specialists and strengthening international academic cooperation.
