Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov took part in the Kazakhstan exhibition of higher education on targeted educational grants allocated to Mangystau and Atyrau regions. The Kazakhstan Higher Education Exhibition, which was held from May 13 to 17, 2024, was attended by Board member – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Baurzhan Taubayev and University staff. This meeting was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan from May 13 to 17, 2024 in Mangystau and Atyrau regions. More than 40 leading universities of the country took part in it. The event was organized on behalf of the head of state in order to implement awareness-raising work on specially allocated targeted educational grants for applicants from Mangystau and Atyrau regions.
During the event, Advisor to the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ruslan Yemelbayev held a meeting with representatives of universities on the issue of training young people in western regions in leading universities, where the issue of conducting an information campaign was discussed. About 3,000 people took part in the explanatory work on May 13-14 at the Aktau Schoolchildren’s Palace, representatives of more than 20 universities on May 14 at the Munaishi Cultural Center in Zhanaozen, i.e. over 7,000 students of grades 10-11 and college students in two days.
On May 16-17, more than 4,000 applicants came to the two-day exhibition at the Atyrau University named after H. Dosmukhamedov, Atyrau. Universities for school graduates and parents were presented at the meeting. In addition, at the meetings, future applicants were given answers to questions about the priorities of Zhetysu University, educational programs, admission procedures, international cooperation, academic mobility program opportunities, active student life, etc. Also, students who entered Zhetysu University on targeted educational grants in the 2022-2023 academic year, in the 2023-2024 academic year, told about everything that was done at the university for students.During the time devoted to providing information about each university, graduates were provided with information about the university, educational programs, a video clip about the university, a new dormitory was shown, a student who found the right answer by asking various questions about our university was presented with a T-shirt, a cap, a shopper.
In addition, the organizers organized a seminar in the format of contests and sweepstakes, asked questions about school subjects, presented valuable image products of universities as a gift to graduates who scored more than 125 points on the Unified National Testing and received a large number of stickers with the university’s logo.
During the exhibition of higher education on the part of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mangystau students saw that they explained to us that the quality of our image products is at a very high level. In addition, the best universities gave very good reviews, looking at our team, the abundance of image products.Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov was awarded 20 places in the Mangystau region, 10 places in the IT field, 18 places in the Atyrau region, 48 places in general. On this basis, work will continue in this direction to develop targeted educational grants.
