First Medal!
At the XIII Summer Universiade taking place in the city of Turkistan, Zhetysu University student Askhat Bolatbek won a bronze medal in judo.
Askhat is a third-year student majoring in Physical Education and Sports. Competing in the under-73 kg weight category, he brought home the university’s first medal of the competition.
