From November 8 to 18, 2023, as part of the competitive selection process for budget program No. 217 “Development of Science” for 2023–2025, subprogram No. 102 “Grant Financing of Scientific Research,” members of project AR19678345 “Development of the creative abilities of future primary school teachers through research competence” – K.T. Ybyraimzhanov, A.S. Taurbekova, S.A. Feyzuldayeva, B.K. Kystaubayeva, G.K. Espolova, A.T. Tynyskhanova, A.O. Bolatbekova – went on a research trip to Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (Almaty) to conduct a survey, participate in a seminar, and exchange experiences.
During the business trip, which took place from November 8 to 18, 2023, a survey was conducted among students and teachers of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology on educational programs: 6B01302 – Primary Education with Business Innovations, 6B01303 – Primary Education with Information and Communication Technologies, 6B01304 – Primary Education with Multilingualism, 6B01306 – Primary Education in English. The survey made it possible to determine the level of development of creative abilities and research competence of future primary school teachers, as well as contributed to increasing their motivation and interest in scientific research activities. In addition, the project members analyzed modern methods aimed at developing creative skills and research activities among students of pedagogical specialties. During discussions with teachers from the Department of Primary Education, approaches to organizing lectures, master classes, and discussion panels in higher education institutions were considered, and innovative educational practices were analyzed, which contributed to the expansion of the professional knowledge of the participants of the business trip.
As part of the business trip, an exchange of experience was also held with teachers from the Department of Primary Education at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. The prospects for further cooperation, successful practices for introducing research activities, and opportunities for organizing joint scientific events were discussed. As a result of the business trip, survey data was collected and analyzed, new methodological materials and recommendations for implementation in the educational process were obtained, and partnerships were established to facilitate the development of the project. The business trip was successful, all tasks were completed, which will increase the effectiveness of the grant project and strengthen the research competence of future primary school teachers.
