On 31 October 2025, lecturer Aigerim Abdulayeva and candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor Nazym Zhanatbekova, as part of the grant-funded project «Improving the training of future physics teachers to work in an informational educational environment» (IRN AP22683901), held a foresight seminar on the topic «Prospects for training pre-service physics teachers to work in an informational educational environment».
The event was attended by physics teachers from general education schools in the Zhetysu region, fourth-year students of the 6B01503 Physics educational programme, and the teaching staff of the Department of Physics and Mathematics.
The aim of the seminar was to identify directions and priorities for the development of a system for training physics teachers who are able to carry out their professional activities effectively in an information-based educational environment.
The first part of the seminar looked at specific examples of how the opportunities offered by an information-based educational environment can be used in physics lessons. The second part of the event took the form of a foresight session entitled «The Future of Physics Teaching».
Participants discussed new technological trends in physics teaching and the role of the modern teacher, analyzed the impact of the use of the information educational environment on the future of physics education, and shared effective ways of improving the quality of teaching.
