On 4 November 2025, an engaging event took place at Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov. It was jointly organized by the faculty members of the Department of History and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines of the Faculty of Humanities together with students of the “History” educational programme. The event was held as part of History Week, dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of Myrzhakyp Dulatov, under the theme “History: a Lesson from the Past, Guidance for the Future”.
The quiz competition was organized not only for students of the History programme but also for students from all faculties of the university. Participants were offered questions of varying difficulty on the history of Kazakhstan and world history. The quiz employed modern technologies and elements of artificial intelligence, which enabled participants to demonstrate their knowledge, quick thinking, and decision-making skills.
The most active students received commemorative gifts from the organizers. The event was conducted at a high level, contributing to the expansion of students’ historical outlook and the development of their intellectual potential. It was noted that such formats significantly strengthen students’ critical thinking skills and increase their interest in national history.
