
On November 27, as part of the subject week, a web quest titled “Read Abai, Be Amazed” was held among 3rd-year students of the “Kazakh Language and Literature” and “Philology” educational programs.
The event was organized in honor of the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayuly with the aim of promoting the poet’s literary heritage, enhancing students’ creative abilities, and improving their digital competencies.
The web quest was conducted by Dinara Bolatkyzy Yesimbekova, lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature, in collaboration with master’s students of group ҚТӘм-211.
The panel of experts included Professor M.M. Imangazinov, Doctor of Philology, and S.K. Kozhagulov, Candidate of Philological Sciences and lecturer.
Participants completed tasks across four thematic locations in accordance with CLIL methodology, demonstrating strong teamwork skills.
Stages of the web quest:
- Answering test questions related to the life and work of Abai.
- Identifying the continuation of Abai’s poems.
- Expressive recitation and dramatization of excerpts from Abai’s Words of Edification, as well as the use of artificial intelligence tools, infographics, and video materials.
- Responding to video questions from Abai scholars and literature experts.
According to the experts, the web quest successfully achieved its objectives. Certificates and diplomas will be awarded to participants at the closing event of the subject week.
