On October 30, 2025, a lecturer of the Department of Informatics and Digitalization of Education, PhD A. Yesseikyzy, conducted a scientific seminar entitled “Methodology for Enhancing Cognitive Skills Using Block-Based Programming Tools. Profile Correction in the Scopus Database, Journal Search and Selection.”
During the seminar, effective methodological approaches to enhancing learners’ logical thinking, creative abilities, and cognitive activity through the use of block-based programming tools (Scratch, Blockly, etc.) in the educational process were discussed. Participants became familiar with the possibilities of applying block-based programming in teaching through practical examples.
In addition, a practical session dedicated to working with the Scopus database was organized. It addressed issues related to the correction and updating of scientific profiles, identification and correction of errors, as well as the search, selection, and analysis of scientific journals. The seminar provided valuable practice-oriented information for lecturers and early-career researchers engaged in research activities.
