On January 30 2026 a joint regional seminar titled
“Developing Professional Competencies of Young Specialists in Chemistry and Biology and Improving the Quality of Education” was held at the Department of Natural Sciences of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov.
The seminar was organized to support the professional development of young specialists, create a platform for experience exchange and promote the effective integration of modern pedagogical technologies into the educational process. During the event qualified teachers and experienced professionals conducted informative master classes and shared their professional experience with young educators.
The main objectives of the seminar were:
- to develop the professional competencies of young teachers;
- to demonstrate practical approaches to applying innovative teaching technologies;
- to introduce modern models for organizing laboratory work;
- to effectively use the criterion-based assessment system to evaluate students’ academic achievements;
- to establish a platform for pedagogical experience exchange.
Participants of the seminar included: chemistry and biology teachers, university faculty members, master’s and doctoral students, young specialists beginning their careers in educational institutions.
As part of the seminar the Chief Manager of the Academic and Methodological Department of Higher and Postgraduate Education R. Asylova and the methodologist of the Regional Methodological Center M. Bodauov held an award ceremony honoring experienced specialists who conducted the master classes.
