Professor Jan Andrzej Wendt from the University of Gdańsk Delivers Lectures for Master’s Students of the Educational Program «Geography»

As part of the External Virtual Academic Mobility Program, from November 3 to November 28, 2025, Habilitation Doctor of science , Professor of the University of Gdańsk (Poland,  Gdańsk) Jan Andrzej Wendt is delivering a series of lectures at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov.

Professor Wendt conducted a class on the discipline “Ecological and Geographical Expertise” for 2nd-year master’s students of the 7M01506 – “Geography” educational program (group Gpm211). The course is aimed at developing modern scientific methods in the field of ecological and geographical assessment. Itʹs main objective is to enhance students’ skills in evaluating natural and anthropogenic complexes, improve methods of processing and interpreting spatial data, and develop the ability to analyze ecological and geographical processes.

During the lectures, students are introduced to international practices, analytical methods, and geoinformation tools used in ecological and geographical research. This experience helps them strengthen their professional competencies, engage in scientific research, and implement their future academic projects.

Professor Wendt’s lectures effectively combine theoretical knowledge and practical skills in contemporary geography, expanding the professional and research potential of master’s students and fostering international academic collaboration.
