On February 17, 2026, within the framework of the “Law and Order” principle, a seminar titled “The System of Anti-Doping Measures: From Notification to Legal Fact” was held at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov for student-athletes of the Faculty of Physical Education and Arts.
During the opening of the event, the member of the University Board – Vice-Rector for Social Work and Youth Policy, Seriev Bolat Abdulladauly, emphasized the importance of complying with legal requirements and fostering the principles of fair play among students.
The Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Arts, Utegenov Erlan Kazbekovich, also highlighted the role of responsibility in professional sports and the importance of anti-doping culture.
During the seminar:
- Lecturer of the Department of Physical Education and Initial Military Training, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Galiyeva Gulmira Bazarkhanovna delivered a presentation on “The System of Anti-Doping Measures: From Notification to Legal Fact”;
- Sports massage therapist and rehabilitation specialist, representative of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, “Astana Olympic Training Center,” Sagyndykova Elmira Iembergenovna provided explanations on anti-doping control in modern sports;
- International Master of Sports in weightlifting, Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and graduate of the Faculty of Physical Education and Arts of Zhetysu University, Sergey Vladimirovich Sedov shared professional advice on maintaining and restoring athletes’ health.
Additionally, Samat Sarsenuly, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Arts, International Master of Sports in jiu-jitsu, World Champion, two-time Asian Champion among adults, and five-time Champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan, participated in the event and shared his experience regarding integrity and responsibility in sports.
At the conclusion of the seminar, students’ questions were addressed, and issues related to compliance with anti-doping requirements, legal responsibility, and adherence to the principles of clean sport were thoroughly discussed.
The event was aimed at improving students’ legal literacy, developing an anti-doping culture, and strengthening the principles of fair competition.
