On February 20, 2026, Galymzhan Serikzhanovich Daribai, a student of group TQQ-231 of the educational program 6B01601 “History,” conducted an open lesson on the subject “History of Kazakhstan” for Grade 8 “A” at Secondary School–Gymnasium No. 19 named after Magzhan Zhumabaev. The topic of the lesson was “Akhmet Baitursynov — the Teacher of the Nation.” The practice supervisor, Gulzhan Bolegenovna Tleubekova, and the history teacher, Nurfazila Satylkhanovna Dossaeva, attended the lesson.
The purpose of the lesson was to study the pedagogical legacy of Akhmet Baitursynov. Students learned about his role in the creation of the Kazakh alphabet. They also became familiar with his scholarly work and public activity. The student-teacher presented Baitursynov’s biography and showed a video created with the help of artificial intelligence.
The students worked in three groups. The first group studied Baitursynov’s academic works. The second group explored his contribution to the foundation of Kazakh linguistics. The third group assessed his role as a public figure. At the end of the lesson, students wrote down three important facts and two interesting facts about the topic. They also formulated one question. The students shared their feedback on sticky notes.
