AP25795177 Technology of teaching robotics in the context of inclusive education
About the scientific project
Project name: TECHNOLOGY OF TEACHING ROBOTICS IN THE CONTEXT OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION
The purpose of the project: Development of methods and training programs in robotics adapted for use in an inclusive educational environment
Objectives: – Analysis of the needs and opportunities of children with special educational needs in teaching robotics. To study the existing limitations and needs of students with different physical, cognitive and sensory characteristics in order to develop adapted methods of teaching robotics.
– Development of adapted robotics training programs. Creation of inclusive educational programs that take into account the individual needs of students. These programs are aimed at developing logical and critical thinking, problem solving skills, and the basics of programming.
– Creation and adaptation of robotic kits and software interfaces. Development or modification of existing robotic kits to ensure accessibility for children with special educational needs (for example, the use of tactile or voice interfaces, special control devices).
– Teaching teachers inclusive methods of teaching robotics. Training of teachers and specialists to work with inclusive groups with training in adaptive learning techniques and the use of specialized technologies for teaching children with disabilities.
-Organization of inclusive training sessions and events on robotics. Conducting training sessions, seminars and events aimed at integrating children with special educational needs into educational processes in robotics, including inclusive competitions and group projects.
– Control and evaluation of the effectiveness of the developed technologies. Evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed curricula and technologies by analyzing student performance and academic performance, as well as receiving feedback from teachers and students to further improve the program.
– Dissemination of results and integration of technologies into the education system. Preparation of recommendations for further integration of the developed technologies into the system of inclusive education at the level of schools, colleges and institutions of additional education
The idea of the project: The scientific novelty of the project lies in the development and implementation of a unique technology for inclusive robotics education aimed at students with special educational needs. Until now, educational programs in robotics are mainly aimed at children without restrictions, and the education system does not have special methods for integrating children with physical, sensory and cognitive characteristics into this process. The project represents the first step towards creating an integrated approach combining adapted educational materials, special interfaces and equipment for children with various disabilities, which significantly expands the possibilities of inclusive education.
The importance of the project lies in its significant contribution to solving the problems of inequality in education. Many children with disabilities do not have access to modern educational programs in the field of STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), which seriously limits their future. The project helps to eliminate this obstacle by providing students with special needs with access to advanced educational technologies that develop critical and logical thinking, team skills and technical problem solving.
In addition, the project is important for the development of an inclusive approach in educational institutions, which will help to form a society based on equal opportunities. It also plays a role in the socialization of children with special needs, allowing them to participate in collective projects, which contributes to their successful integration into the community.
As a result of the project, unique technologies and techniques will be developed that can be used in the system of general and additional education around the world, contributing to the accessibility of robotics for all children, regardless of their physical or cognitive characteristics.
Expected results: Development and implementation of the robotics curriculum for children with special educational needs.
Improving the logical thinking and cognitive abilities of children participating in the program.
Publications in international scientific journals and presentation of results at international conferences.
Training of teachers and specialists for working with inclusive programs.
The project is planned to be completed by December 2027 with the possibility of further scaling the program at the national level.
