About the scientific program

  • The purpose of the program:

The goal of the program is to develop psychological support mechanisms for students with disabilities in the pre-vocational training, facilitating their adaptation and socialization in society.

  • Objectives:
  1. Theoretical analysis of literary sources on the problem of social adaptation of students with disabilities in the process of their pre-vocational training.
  2. Creation of an information and analytical database about youth with disabilities.
  3. Study of the current state of the processes of inclusion in the general educational process and social adaptation of students with disabilities.
  4. Analysis of materials of normative legal regulation of pre-vocational training of students with disabilities in the conditions of special and inclusive education in order to develop their labor skills. Explanation:
  5. Development of a draft Classifier of specialties for students with disabilities, taking into account their capabilities and special educational needs.
  6. Development and testing of the Draft curriculum for labor training of students with disabilities, taking into account the challenges of modern society and the demand of the labor market.
  7. Development and testing of a model of pre-vocational training for students with intellectual disabilities in special and general education schools with the aim of developing their work skills.
  • The idea of the project:

            The idea of the program is to form new humanistic values of society based on the principles of tolerance, the implementation of the processes of socio-cultural inclusion and adaptation of persons with disabilities through the development of mechanisms of psychological and pedagogical support for students with disabilities in the process of their pre-professional training. Among the problems in the field of education and sectors of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the issues of adaptation and socialization of persons with disabilities in a market environment and ensuring their financial and economic independence are of particular relevance.

  • Expected results:

           

– series of scientific and practical events to test the research results, publication of materials;

– draft educational curriculum to the Ministry of Education for approval and further implementation in practice;

– proven model of pre-professional training in special and secondary schools;

– publication of materials on the issues of social adaptation of students with disabilities;

– amendments and additions to legal acts regulating pre-professional training in conditions of special and inclusive education;

– proposals to the Ministry of Education on the education of children with disabilities in special and secondary schools;

– proposals on amendments to the TVE Classifier, taking into account capabilities and special educational needs of students;

– list of TVE specialties, taking into account capabilities and special educational needs of students.

The program should create a science-based information base for:

– material systematization on the legal regulation of education;

– amendments and additions to the legal acts of the RK on the accessibility of education, the possibility of obtaining a profession in accordance with capabilities and needs;

– further study of inclusion problems in the educational process and social adaptation;

– relevant work areas identification;

– innovative strategies development for pre-professional training and socio-psychological adaptation;

– information and analytical base creation.

Program results:

– 6 articles in peer-reviewed scientific publications with a Scopus database CiteScore percentile of at least 25 (twenty-five);

– 8 articles in journals recommended by the CQASHE;

– monograph recommended by the academic council of the applicant’s organization;

– textbook in a Kazakh publishing house recommended by the academic council of the applicant’s organization;

– 2 copyright certificates registered with the National Institute of Intellectual Property of the RK.

End result:

Theoretical conclusions and practical results will become a scientific and methodological basis for improving the regulatory framework in the field of ensuring the rights of all children with special educational needs to quality education, developing and making decisions in the field of science, special education and social security aimed at developing social mobility of youth and human capital.
