ENACTUS ZHETYSU Entrepreneurship that transforms lives and shapes the leaders of the future

The mission of the Enactus Zhetysu team is to develop and implement sustainable social entrepreneurship projects aimed at addressing pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges of the region and the country through an entrepreneurial mindset, innovation, and active youth engagement.

The team strives to:

develop entrepreneurial thinking, leadership skills, and social responsibility among students;
design and implement innovative business projects that create measurable social impact while remaining economically sustainable;
contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as food security, sustainable agriculture, improved quality of life, and responsible use of resources;
support regional economic development by empowering local communities, farmers, and socially vulnerable groups;
represent Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov and the Republic of Kazakhstan on national and international Enactus platforms, strengthening the image of Kazakhstani student entrepreneurship at the global level.

The Enactus Zhetysu team was established in 2022 — from that year, the team began bringing together students of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov to participate in the Enactus program and develop social entrepreneurial projects.
The Enactus Zhetysu team emerged as an initiative of students from Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, united by a common idea: to use entrepreneurship not only for profit, but also for social good. From the very beginning, the team has been shaped as a space for active, ambitious, and socially conscious youth, ready to take responsibility for real change around them.
The first steps of Enactus Zhetysu were focused on identifying pressing regional challenges in the fields of ecology, agriculture, food security, and social support. The team learned how to analyze problems, transform them into ideas, and build solutions based on a business approach. It was during this period that the core principle of the team was established: every project must be sustainable, scalable, and have a measurable social impact.
With each passing year, Enactus Zhetysu grew both in size and in quality. Students from various disciplines joined the team, allowing the combination of knowledge from economics, agricultural sciences, ecology, IT, and management. Projects became more complex, deeper, and more ambitious, while the participants themselves grew more confident in their abilities and potential.
Gradually, the team began to make a strong presence at the national level by presenting its initiatives at Enactus competitions and championships. This journey included not only victories, but also challenges: refining ideas, receiving critical feedback from experts, sleepless nights before presentations, and a constant drive for improvement. This experience laid the foundation for a strong team culture and leadership.
Through its projects, Enactus Zhetysu aims not just to create ideas, but to turn them into real solutions that improve people’s lives, bring long-term benefits to society, and cultivate a new generation of socially-minded leaders and entrepreneurs.
Today, Enactus Zhetysu is not just a student team, but a community of young leaders and social entrepreneurs who create projects with long-term impact, represent the university and the region at national and international levels, and inspire other students to believe in the power of ideas and action.

Social Impact. Each project must address a specific social, economic, or environmental problem and deliver measurable benefits to society and local communities.
Entrepreneurial Approach. We create not one-time initiatives, but sustainable business models capable of self-sufficiency and long-term development.

Enactus World Cup 2024

At the Enactus World Cup 2024, held for the first time in history in Astana with the participation of teams from approximately 33 countries, the team represented Kazakhstan as part of Enactus Kazakhstan and presented its projects on the global stage.

The team showcased the same projects — “Sweet Rainbow” and “Gallus” — attracting the attention of an international audience and receiving high recognition from representatives of the scientific and business communities, including the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
