On February 12, 2026, the faculty hosted a scientific seminar on the topic “Introduction to the Key Stages of Preparing and Defending a Doctoral Dissertation.”
The seminar speaker was PhD Gavrilova E.N., Academic Secretary of the Dissertation Council for doctoral dissertation defense in the field of 8D015 – Teacher Training in Natural Science Subjects under the educational program 8D01501 – Mathematics. During the seminar, she provided a detailed overview of the main stages of doctoral dissertation preparation, the requirements for formatting the dissertation in accordance with established standards, the requirements for the structure and content of scientific research, as well as the specific features of organizing and conducting the pre-defense and defense procedures of a doctoral dissertation.
During the seminar, participants received recommendations on preparing scientific publications, adhering to the principles of academic integrity, and improving the quality of research activities. The seminar was held in an open dialogue format, allowing doctoral students and young researchers to ask questions of interest and discuss current issues arising during the preparation of a doctoral dissertation.
Such events contribute to the development of students’ scientific potential, the enhancement of research culture, and the improvement of the quality of training highly qualified scientific personnel.
