The project

Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov became a participant of the “Central Asian Law: Legal Cultures and Business Environments in Central Asia” project funded by the European Commission’s H2020 MSCA-RISE programme.

The project is being implemented in the period from 01.03.2020 to 28.02.2024. The aim is to gain new knowledge and policy ideas about the interrelationships between legal culture, governance and the business environment in Central Asia. The project is being implemented by 14 institutions in 11 countries of Europe and Central Asia. In addition to Zhetysu University (Kazakhstan), the project involves leading foreign universities such as Lund University (Sweden), University of Zurich (Switzerland), University of Manchester (England), Charles University (Czech Republic), Riga Graduate School of Law (Latvia), Marmara University (Turkey), Istanbul Medipol University (Turkey), University of Latvia (Latvia), Westminster International University in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Academy of General Prosecutors Office of Uzbekistan (Uzbekistan), SIAR Research and Consulting (Kyrgyzstan), Tebigy Kuwwat Public Association (Turkmenistan), Khujand Polytechnic Institute of the Tajik Technical University (Tajikistan).

Within the framework of the project, foreign business trips, a visit of the project executors to carry out research, seminars and conferences are planned.
