The idea of lifelong education was also picked up by Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov. The University, having the necessary regulatory, organizational, material, technical, information resources and technologies for the development and use of the human capital of the older generation, has started the development of the project “Asyl Kazyna University”.
The main idea of this project is to meet the needs of older generation in education.
The aim of the project is to create conditions for extending active lifetime, improving the quality of life and preserving the usefulness of older citizens.
The Center for Professional Development and Complementary Education has developed a concept for the functioning of this “University”, together with the university’s higher schools, a theme has been compiled and educational programs have been developed. On June 7, 8, 9 in 2022, the implementation of these programs began. Short-term courses were held on the programs “Modern information technologies for everyday life” and “Financial literacy” for veterans and retirees of the city.
