SEMINAR FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS AND DOCTORAL STUDENTS ON THE TOPIC «Quantitative and qualitative methods in scientific research»
On November 9, 2022 doctor of physics, head of the department computer science of Daugavpils University (Latvia, Daugavpils) Ignatjeva Svetlana held a seminar on “Quantitative and qualitative methods in scientific research”. The seminar was attended by young scientists, doctoral students and undergraduates of the Higher School of Natural Sciences.
At the seminar, foreign scientist were presented with examples of the use of qualitative and quantitative methods in scientific research. The audience was interested in the issues of combining different approaches in one scientific study. During the discussion, the issues of developing and adapting questionnaires for collecting primary information, as well as the use of computer tools for data processing and presentation were discussed.
