In the 2022-2023 academic year, in order to provide applicants with information on admission to the university and the choice of a future specialty, Zhetysu University conducted career guidance work.
Career guidance work was carried out by the university’s higher schools and the Career and Employment Center. From February 1 to February 10, 90 secondary schools and 3022 graduates were covered in Taldykorgan and Alakol, Sarkan, Panfilov, Aksu, Kerbulak, Eskeldinsky, Koksu, Karatal districts.
During the meeting, the applicants were shown a presentation about the Zhetysu University and information brushes were distributed. Information was provided about the history, structure, higher schools, educational programs and priorities of the university. The projects implemented at the university, scientific initiatives, opportunities provided to talented youth were also discussed.
At the last meetings, the students were explained in detail the choice of specialized subjects, the rules for passing the and admission to training. The types of professions in demand in the region’s market were announced, as well as the role of Zhetysu University in the training of qualified specialists. During the event, future students asked their questions and received appropriate answers.
In general, career guidance work in the current academic year is carried out continuously. To date, about 5,000 graduates have been covered and received the necessary information. In the future, it is planned to hold several meetings and events for graduates of the region.
