Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov together with the educational and methodological center for the development of education of the Zhetysu region on February 16-17 held an educational conference «Кемел келешек – табысты мамандық» with organizations of post–secondary education in the region.

The main purpose of organizing the event is to provide graduates with relevant information about admission to the university and to promote the formation of qualified specialists. The meeting was attended by about 300 future young specialists from 16 institutions of vocational education in the region.

The conference was held in 3 directions. On the dialogue platform, students were shown a video about Zhetysu University and information brushes were distributed. The university administration talked freely with young people. Director of the Department of Academic Affairs Galiya Turysbaevna and Dean of the Higher School of Natural Sciences Ilyas Zhanserkenovich answered questions related to the educational process. The speakers focused on new educational programs in the upcoming academic year and provided valuable information about the importance of choosing a profession.

A guided tour was held for the participants in the main part of the conference. The guests got acquainted with the university museum, library, scientific laboratories and the main academic building. Thus, the participants had the opportunity to see the priorities of Zhetysu University in practice.

In the final part of the conference, the participants held a conversation about scientific projects, IT industry news with young scientists in the coworking center. Director of the IT Center Zhalgas Undrusuly and Head of the Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory Anet Sovetovich demonstrated the inventions of young scientists and exchanged views on the projects currently being implemented. The participants received answers to their questions during the discussion.

In general, the meeting covered a wide range of topics related to the higher education system. Free and meaningful communication with young people provides the basis for new steps in this direction.
