On April 27, 2023, there will be held a master class and a guest lecture by Tuganbayev Halel.
Tuganbayev Khalel is a qualified lawyer in Kazakh law with 13 years of experience, 8 of which he spent working for two Big Four companies (PwC & KPMG) in senior positions. He was the Director of an International Law Firm registered in the Astana International Financial Center, operating under the laws of England and Wales.
Halel Tuganbayev advises on corporate, commercial, civil, labor and financial law clients such as Amazon, Google, Cisco, PepsiCo, Toyota, Asia Auto, Samsung, Henkel, Berlin-Chemie, Oriflame, Faberlik, Stada, Unilever, Samruk Kazyna, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Baiterek, Lancaster Group, Heidelberg, ForteBank, Shinhan Bank, KCell, Estée Lauder, etc. and represents them in Kazakh courts and international arbitrations.
Halel Tuganbayev actively participates in the development of Kazakhstan legislation, for example, the Law on Joint Stock Companies, the Law on the Securities Market, the Law on Arbitration, etc. From 2018 to 2020, Halel was an expert of the World Bank helped to develop Kazakhstan laws such as the Law on Notary, the Law on State Registration of Legal Entities and Registration of Branches and representative Offices, etc.
One of Halel Tuganbayev ‘s recent projects is advising the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on the provision of a loan to a Kazakh mining company in the amount of USD 350 million. Also, Halel advised Eurasian Resources Group on the provision of a loan to a subsoil user company in the amount of 3 billion US dollars.
At the moment, Halel Tuganbayev is the Head of the legal department of an American Company in the field of healthcare and is also a freelance senior lecturer at KIMEP University in such subjects as litigation, corporate law, contract law, business law, etc.
