On November 28, 2023, a job fair “Zhas Maman – 2024” was organized at the Ilyas Zhansugurov Zhetysu University. The event was held for the purpose of employment of graduates, and their demand in the labor market. The fair was led by the university administration, the Career and Employment Center, and the deans of higher schools. Director of the Department of Academic Affairs – Kydyrbaeva Galiya Turyspaevna took part and spoke at the opening of the fair. The fair was attended by more than 50 public, private institutions, law enforcement agencies, departments, second-tier banks, enterprises, representatives of local media, employers from organizations of preschool education, general education and technical and vocational education. At the meeting, employers familiarized with the areas of work of institutions, explained the procedure for employment. The issue of strengthening further partnership between the university and organizations was also comprehensively discussed.
876 graduates of 6 higher schools of the university took part in the job fair. At the meeting, future young specialists received important information from representatives of various fields and talked. In addition, employers were presented with their resumes and received data on the features and basic principles of employment. It was also noted that data on future young specialists and their resumes can be obtained through the resources of the university.
During the opening ceremony of the fair, the head of the Civil Service Department of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in Zhetysu region – Tarakov Samgat Baglanovich, Deputy director of the branch of the Career Center of Taldykorgan of Zhetysu region – Tarikhov Daniyar Nurgazievich, editor-in-chief of radio Zhetysu – Mukhit Toktasyn, director of the Center for Psychological Support “Rich TELS”, field of activity – services of a psychologist – Kim Tatiana Vasilyevna, director of LLP “BALAZHAN Nursery-garden of combined type with a speech therapy bias” – Darkenbayeva Laura Tanatarovna, university graduate, computer science teacher of Manshuk Mametova secondary school of the village of Shymkent – Saindildina Lyazzat Dauletovna.
Based on the organized event, information was received from organizations about the need for specialists in each industry. This will make it possible to systematically carry out work on the training and employment of specialists at the university.
It is expected that the demand of the labor market, identified by the results of the job fair, will contribute to the growth of employment rates of future young professionals.
