Students independent work through interviews of Professionally oriented foreign language subject on specialty «Journalism»

This project shows the independent work of students in the subject of Professionally oriented language on the specialty «Journalism» of students, proficiency in English allows not only to develop language skills, but also to develop the ability to collect the necessary information in their professional field, analyze it and form a professional opinion. The main purpose of this work is to master students’ vocabulary and speech skills related to the field of journalism through interviewing in a foreign language.

Students of the 2nd year on specialty «Journalism» in order to improve their professional skills as part of their independent work, they implemented the practice of interviewing teachers and students of the specialty” Foreign Language: two foreign languages”. During the interview , students and teachers of the specialty foreign language shared interesting information about themselves, personal experiences and interesting memories.

During the interview, the students improved their professional language skills by applying interview methods in practice. This experience played an important role in the professional path of future journalists, contributing to the development of language and communication skills. Future journalists, combining their knowledge with experience, brought professional communication skills to a new level and clearly demonstrated their success in mastering the language. As a result of the experience, the students exchanged opinions, improved their information collection and analysis skills. This independent work helped the students hone their skills in conducting professional interviews in English. This task, aimed at developing the linguistic and cultural skills necessary to become a professional working in the field of journalism, allowed students to have the opportunity to express their opinions in English on issues and problems in their field.
