Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the public foundation “Kazakhstan Ecological Fund.”
Within the framework of this memorandum, both parties intend to implement joint initiatives aimed at preventing gambling addiction (ludomania). These include roundtable discussions, training sessions, seminars, conferences, informational and awareness campaigns, and other collaborative efforts.
“Gambling addiction is a societal illness. Fostering a rational understanding of gambling addiction among young people, promoting financial literacy, and encouraging a healthy lifestyle are our shared responsibilities. This memorandum is aimed at developing a comprehensive set of preventive measures addressing the causes and consequences of ludomania,” noted Rector Yermek Buribayev.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President of the Kazakhstan Ecological Fund, Aigul Abdualiyeva, expressed her gratitude to the university leadership and voiced confidence in the successful implementation of future joint initiatives.
