World Cup “Enactus World Cup 2024” was held in Kazakhstan for the first time
From October 2 to 4, the capital of the country hosted the World Championship “Enactus World Cup 2024”.
This event was organized in order to develop student entrepreneurship, introduce innovative projects and strengthen international relations. Enactus is not only a platform for demonstrating new ideas, but also a platform that provides students from different countries with the opportunity to exchange experience and establish friendly relations.
Teams from 33 countries of the world took part in the Championship, defending their projects. As a result of the competition, the 16 best teams were selected and divided into four leagues. The team “Enactus Kazakhstan”, which defended the honor of Kazakhstan, was also among the best, they showed their projects and presented bright ideas.
The team “Enactus Kazakhstan”, consisting of students of Zhetysu university named after I. Zhansugurov, successfully defended the projects “Sweet Rainbow”, aimed at producing a new variety of corn adapted to the climate of the country, rich in high-fertility, antioxidants, and “Gallus”, a new breed of black chicken with high immunity and improved productivity.
The chicken hybrid in the project – The Bird “Kazaucana” – won the interest of the public.
The closing ceremony was attended by the minister of Science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, who noted the achievements of students. He highly appreciated the project of students of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov and expressed his support for their ideas and initiatives.
In the final of the championship, teams from Morocco, Korea, Tunisia and Germany competed, as a result of which the main prize was won by the team of the state of Tunisia. Their project was distinguished by innovative solutions and was highly appreciated internationally.
This championship allowed students to develop entrepreneurial skills, implement startup ideas and increase their competitiveness in the world market. In addition, through the Enactus platform, it opens the way for young people to reveal their creative abilities and demonstrate them at the international level.
The next World Cup “Enactus World Cup 2025” will be held in the country of Bankong, Thailand.
