On October 7, 2024, a video lecture was held by Prof. PhD Sara Ruschioni with the students of the ASTdd-211 course, on the topic “In-depth understanding of the phenomenon of insect metamorphosis.

A thorough understanding of the phenomenon of insect metamorphosis is essential as it allows us to comprehend the life cycles and evolutionary dynamics of many species. In this context, this lesson addressed metamorphosis by exploring the evolutionary characteristics of this biological phenomenon, highlighting the transition from the larval stage to the adult form in invertebrates and presenting key technical terms to facilitate understanding. During the lesson, various types of metamorphosis in the insect world were explored, supported by photographs and explanatory videos that illustrate the morphological and functional changes.
