At the Zhetysu university named after I. Zhansugurov held an event, organized by the psychologist of the Youth Policy Department G. Islamzhanova for university students on the topic: “Ludomania, drug addiction – a disease of society.” The purpose of the event is to explain the consequences of gambling and drug addiction with concrete examples. Telling young people about ludomania and the harm of drug addiction and showing measures to prevent it.
Gulnar Islamzhanova explained to students what addiction is, including the terms gambling and drug addiction, and gave examples from statistical data. The event attended by specialists from the Center for Mental Health of the Zhetysu region: psychiatrist, suicidologist Beybit Mustafa, narcologist Maksat Ergabylov. They listened to the opinions of the students and answered their questions.
