Educational and Social Work Department

Department for social and creative work is the coordination of educational and social work of the University by developing civic, patriotic, spiritual and moral values of the individual, to promote cultural, professional, modern, competitive specialist, the propaganda of the state youth policy, increasing the students ‘ participation in public life.

Ensuring long-term and current planning of the social and creative process and its implementation at the university;
Conducting educational work aimed at the values of Kazakhstan's identity and unity, spiritual and moral values of the program for the modernization of public consciousness "Rukhani Zhangyru", the formation of a culture of a healthy lifestyle and "zero tolerance" to corruption manifestations;
Formation of a favorable university environment aimed at educating students of high spiritual qualities, patriotism, hard work, responsibility and self-discipline;
Organization and implementation of a set of events (competitions, festivals, meetings, round tables, explanatory work, organization of conversations, meetings, lectures, conferences, round tables on various profiles and interests of students and employees);
The formation of aesthetic and cultural values among students, the development of the creative potential of young people; the creation of an optimal cultural environment aimed at development, the creation of additional conditions for the full development of the personality of students and their creative potential;
Coordination of the activities of the main parts of the educational process (deputy deans, curators of student groups, student self-government bodies, other public associations);
Development of recommendations for conducting curatorial hours, intellectual games, round tables, etc. in academic groups;
Interaction with curators, parents (persons who replace them), specialists of social services, in providing assistance to students with disabilities, as well as those who have fallen into extreme situations;
Establishing contacts with the city and regional administrations, Departments, and other initiative organizations in order to implement the social policy of the university;
Organization of educational, extracurricular and social work with students living in the hostel, assistance in solving housing and household issues.

Planning and control, information and organizational support of educational activities in accordance with the socio-political and socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and its implementation at the university;
Organization and implementation of a set of educational activities for the implementation of the Program "Rukhani zhangyru" in order to form a new model of consciousness and thinking of students of the university;
Conducting university-wide events in all areas of social and creative work, in accordance with the plans;
Organization of work on the prevention of offenses among students, the spread of drug addiction, HIV infection, tobacco smoking, promotion of a healthy lifestyle;
Organization and implementation of social and creative activities aimed at the formation of patriotism, citizenship, environmental education, high morals and morals, legal culture, interfaith tolerance, as well as the development of diverse interests and abilities of students;
Assistance in addressing social issues of students from the category of orphans and children left without parental care, students with disabilities; and other disadvantaged groups in cooperation with interested organizations and institutions of the city and region;
Formation of the person competent in social terms, capable of self-expression, self-development, creativity with a high sense of responsibility and the desire to benefit the;
Organization of the work of creative groups in the department, dance ensemble, vocal and instrumental ensemble, vocal studios, dombra ensemble, student theater;
Provision of musical equipment and lighting for university events, assistance in organizing events to unleash the creative potential of young people;
Organization of curators ' work;
Organization and holding of seminars, trainings, conferences, round tables, meetings, open lectures, etc. on current issues and areas of activity of the department;
Organization and implementation of preventive work and control to prevent violations of public order, the rules of residence in dormitories, the rules of internal regulations at the university.

"Kazandagi Kamkorlyk"

In October, Department for social and creative work and the University trade union held the month of "Kazandagi kamkorlyk". The purpose of the event is to develop spiritual, cultural, moral, responsible qualities, increase the social activity of curators and students, academic teams. The event was held in the following areas: support for people with disabilities in orphanages and nursing homes, preservation and development of ecological, cultural and historical heritage, education of schoolchildren, students and social groups, organization of creative and charitable events, etc.

Competition "Abaydy, ogy tanyp bil!"

Department for social and creative work organized a republican online intellectual competition dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great poet Abai Kunanbaevich "Abaydy, ony tanyp bil!",. About fifteen universities took part in the competition. The winners were awarded by valuable prizes and letters of gratefulness.

Students received a new dormitory

At the beginning of the new academic year 2020, our university received the keys to a new dormitory for students. The dormitory with 288 beds is equipped with the latest modern facilities. All conditions for a convenient life of students are created. The dormitory has a library, a cinema, a dining room and recreation rooms.

The “academic integrity hour” campaign

The campaign on the theme "academic integrity hour" was held at the Zhetysu University with the participation of the head of the Republican Project Office "Sanaly Urpak", the head of the agency for state service Affairs and anti – corruption in Almaty region, and the head of the project office "Zhetysu-adaldyk alany".

The regional debate tournament among students

Department for social and creative work organized a regional debate tournament dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The tournament was attended by students of universities and secondary specialized and secondary schools. In total, the competition was attended by 11 teams, the results of which the 3rd place was awarded to the team "Sponsor ISQ" 16 and 19 of schools, gymnasiums, 2nd place team NIS "Globalolus", 1st place team NIS "Totoro". In addition, Kazhibekova Nuray (NIS) was nominated for "Best Speaker", Elubay Akerke and Kyzaibekov Eldar (Yu) were nominated for "Best Delegation".
