On May 15–16, 2025, Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov held an “Open Day” for graduating students of general education institutions across the Zhetysu region. Nearly 300 students from over 20 schools in the region participated in the event. The graduates received comprehensive information about the university and were introduced to the facilities of each faculty.
During the event, students visited scientific laboratories, a courtroom simulation room, the “Huawei” lab, a TV and radio studio, coworking spaces, the library and museum, sports halls, a shooting range, the military department, a swimming pool, and specialized training rooms. According to their fields of interest, the students explored department-specific laboratories and facilities. The presentations provided insights into the university’s academic programs, scientific research projects, academic mobility opportunities, and resources available for youth. Graduates had the chance to ask questions to university lecturers and active students.
By taking part in the “Open Day,” students became more familiar with the university and developed a fresh perspective on higher education. This event opens the door for young people to become students at Zhetysu University and join the ranks of top achievers.
