In the city of Turkistan, during the XIII Summer Universiade among higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the athletics team from Zhetysu University emerged as one of the winners. Over two days of intense competition, the team members delivered outstanding performances and secured victory at the Universiade.
On the second day of the competition,
Saniya Kudaibergen claimed first place in the 3000-meter race,
Ayana Bolatbekkyzy won the 800 meters,
and Yesenbol Zhanabek triumphed in the 5000 meters — all earning gold medals.
Aibol Omar competed in the 800 meters and secured a commendable third place, winning a bronze medal.
In the 4×400 meter relay, the women’s team took second place.
The relay team, composed of students from the “Physical Education and Sports” academic program —
Saniya Kudaibergen,
Anelya Nurmukhanbetova,
Akbayan Nurmamet,
and Ayana Bolatbekkyzy — demonstrated exceptional ability and proved themselves as true athletes.
As a result, Zhetysu University’s medal tally was enriched with 5 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
In the final standings of the athletics events, the women’s team from Zhetysu University proudly secured second place.
