As part of the XIII Summer Universiade of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held in the city of Turkistan among higher education institutions, students from the Faculty of Physical Education and Arts of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov achieved prize-winning results in freestyle wrestling.
Mazhan Zhanyrbai won 1st place in the 86 kg weight category, while Didar Mukhametkali took 2nd place in the 125 kg weight category.
