On September 25–26, 2025, Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov hosted a student football tournament for the Chairman of the Board – Rector’s Cup.
The competition was held in accordance with the official rules of the Football Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A total of 90 students took part, representing the Faculties of Natural and Technical Sciences, Physics and Mathematics, Pedagogy and Psychology, Law and Economics, Humanities, as well as Zhansugurov College.
The Physics and Mathematics Faculty won 1st place, the Faculty of Law and Economics came in 2nd, and the Natural and Technical Sciences Faculty took 3rd.
The winners and prize-winners were awarded the Chairman of the Board – Rector’s Cup, medals, and certificates of honor.
