The recipient of the special grant named after Natalia Borsenko has been announced!
Earlier this spring, a memorial evening was held in honor of Natalia Borsenko, an Honored Journalist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorary Citizen of Taldykorgan, and founder of the regional TV channel “Zhetysu.”
During the event, her son, Maxim Nozhenko, announced his intention to establish a special educational grant in his mother’s name for a talented young resident of the Zhetysu region who wishes to study Journalism at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov , and he presented the corresponding certificate.
Today, the university’s rector, Yermek Buribayev, ceremoniously awarded the named grant to Ayazhan Muratkhan. The recipient was selected based on a competition among students with excellent academic performance, strong creative abilities, and active civic engagement.
This grant became not only financial but also moral support for Ayazhan, who grew up in a large family and recently lost her mother. Since childhood, she had dreamed of becoming a journalist and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Maxim Nozhenko for giving her the opportunity to get closer to her dream.
“I am very happy to have entered the Journalism program of the Faculty of Humanities at Zhetysu University. During this difficult period of my life, the support provided through the special grant named after the renowned journalist Natalia Borsenko has become a great source of motivation for me. I will do my best to justify the trust placed in me and become a good professional. For me, this is not only a great honor but also a great responsibility,” shared Ayazhan Muratkhan.
