A public lecture titled “I Choose a Life Without Drugs!” was held for first-year students of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov. Psychologist Saniya Abdikarim, narcologist Seraly Mamytai, and lawyer Yerasyl Kabdylov provided detailed insights into the spread of drug use among young people, preventive measures, and the harmful effects of narcotic substances on health.
The lecture was organized within the framework of the “Society Without Drugs” project. The Sanaly Qogam Public Foundation, in cooperation with the Department of Public Development of Zhetysu Region and the Center for the Support of Civil Initiatives, is implementing a grant project aimed at preventing the spread and use of drugs and their precursors among youth.
To coordinate informational, psychological, and counseling services for drug prevention, a special center called “Jastar Support Hub” has been established under the Youth Resource Center.
