





Researchers from Zhetysu University participated in the International conference “4th Food Chemistry Conference: Reshaping Global Food Systems”, held from October 13 to 16 in Glasgow, Scotland.
⚜️ Organized by Elsevier, the conference brought together journal editors, scientists, corporate research and development specialists, equipment and service developers/suppliers, and representatives of various companies from around the world — including the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, Denmark, Poland, Hungary, Greece, the Czech Republic, Turkey, the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Algeria, Nigeria, Kenya, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador, and many others.
⚜️ Representing Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region, the prestigious international event was attended by Dr. Gulzhan Khamitova, Postdoctoral Researcher at Zhetysu University, and Dr. Lazzat Karasholakova, Director of the Department of Science and Commercialization, Postdoctoral Supervisor, PhD, Associate Professor.
Our researchers presented the results of their study conducted within the framework of the project AR22685366 “Chemical analysis of honey composition and differentiation by geographical origin” (supervised by Dr. G. Khamitova), in the poster presentation, attracting the attention of the international scientific community.
⚜️ The conference program was structured around the following key sections:

2. Nutrients, Bioactive Components, and Other Emerging Components
3. Methods and Technologies for Sustainability
4. Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Technologies in Food
⚜️ Based on the conference results, selected papers will be published in a special issue of the Food Chemistry journals.
⚜️ The active participation of Zhetysu University scientists in international research platforms represents a significant contribution to the development of national science and the enhancement of Kazakhstan’s scientific reputation. The feedback and expert comments received during the conference will help improve the quality of their research and support its advancement to the international level. Moreover, such events provide valuable opportunities to exchange experiences with global researchers, generate new ideas, establish partnerships, develop joint projects, and integrate into international scientific networks.
