Law and order are the key to a free future

Students of the Faculty of Law and Economics met with Dana Sarsenbai, Senior Prosecutor of the State Prosecution Support Department of the Taldykorgan City Prosecutor’s Office.

The meeting was moderated by Bolat Seriyev, Vice-Rector for Social Work and Youth Policy, who noted that Dana Sarsenbai is a well-known prosecutor in the country and a graduate of Zhetysu University.

“Dana Sarsenbai represents the new generation of prosecutors. As you know, she served as the state prosecutor in the high-profile case of Sherzat Polat, which sparked significant public resonance. She has established herself as a highly qualified professional and has become a role model for many. Today, as part of this meeting, Dana Sarsenbai will deliver a lecture titled ‘Law and Order — the Guarantee of a Free Future’, share her experience, and answer your questions,” noted Vice-Rector B. Seriyev.

In her lecture, the guest speaker elaborated on the concept of promoting the ideology of legality and public order, the fundamental principles of prosecutorial work, the protection of public interests, ensuring a fair judicial process, strict adherence to legal norms, legal reforms, and contemporary trends. Dana Sarsenbai emphasized that in cases that attract intense public attention, a prosecutor must remain composed and speak the language of the law, illustrating this with her own professional experience.

She also answered students’ questions regarding the core responsibilities of a prosecutor, career development, and legal literacy.

It should be noted that the lecture was organized by the Faculty of Law and Economics as part of the implementation of the 2025–2030 Concept for Promoting the Ideology of Law and Order in Society.
