The Republic of Kazakhstan Weightlifting Championship among adults was held in Astana. At this prestigious event, Askerbay Alikhan, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Arts at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, claimed a confident victory. In recognition of his outstanding achievement—twice breaking the world record at the Asian Junior Weightlifting Championship—A likhan was awarded a Rector’s Grant, granting him free tuition at Zhetysu University.
