Today, a conference was held at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, aimed at sending first-year students of the educational programs 6B03201 – Journalism and 6B03202 – Public Relations to their first academic internship.
The purpose of this academic internship is to guide future journalists and PR specialists in gaining practical experience in the fundamentals of their profession, to provide them with opportunities for information exchange through mass media, and to develop their individual skills. During the event, students were given detailed explanations of the tasks to be completed during the internship, the content and requirements for preparing reporting documentation, and special attention was paid to the importance of personal safety. Lecturers of the Department of Journalism emphasized the significance of enhancing students’ professional training, consolidating theoretical knowledge through practice, and developing practical skills necessary for future professional activity. The academic internship will take place at the Zhetysu University newspaper, the university’s educational radio studio, educational television studio, and the Center for Image Policy of Zhetysu University, where students will receive professional support and guidance in accordance with their chosen specialization.
