A special cultural event was held at the Zhetysu Regional Historical and Local History Museum named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshbayev. Second-year students majoring in Journalism at Zhetysu University took part in the educational meeting and gained a profound spiritual experience.
As part of the celebration of the 190th anniversary of the poet Baktybai Zholbarysuly, the grand opening ceremony of the traveling exhibition “Poet Аset, Known to All Alash” took place. The exhibition was prepared by the Аset Naimanbayuly Literary Museum, a department of the Zhidebai-Borili State Historical, Cultural, and Literary Memorial Museum-Reserve.
The exhibition featured valuable information and artifacts reflecting the life and creative path of the widely renowned folk singer-composer and improvisational poet (aitys poet) Аset Naimanbayuly. The display included household items used by the poet and his family, such as a wallet, a copper basin, a snuffbox, a cast-iron kumgan, and other objects that vividly illustrate everyday life in past centuries.
Students of the Journalism program showed great interest in the historical exhibits and discovered many new and previously unknown facts.
“We became more closely acquainted with Аset’s life journey and felt his contribution to Kazakh art. It became a great source of inspiration for us,” the participants shared.
