Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, Department of Journalism, will hold a competition among students and master’s degree students on January 30, 2026, within the framework of the theme “The World of Kozhakeev”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the prominent scholar, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, and master of satire, Temirbek Kozhakeev.
In the competition, participants will compete in the following categories: “Best Research Paper,” “Best Press Material” (only materials published in periodical print media are accepted; website materials are not eligible), and “Best Video Material.”
The purpose of the competition is to enhance the research activity of students and young scholars, and to promote the development of creative thinking and the implementation of new ideas.
The objectives of the competition are to introduce the younger generation to the outstanding contribution of the distinguished Kazakh scholar, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, and master of satire Temirbek Kozhakeev to the development of national journalism and publishing, as well as to widely promote his wisdom, public service, moral integrity, and intellectual legacy within the academic community and among the general public.
