A qualifying table tennis tournament for the National Student League was organized among students at Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov.
The main objectives of the competition were to promote a healthy lifestyle among students, increase interest in table tennis as a sport, develop students’ individual athletic skills, strengthen friendly relations between faculties, and select the best athletes for the university’s representative team.
The tournament brought together six teams from all faculties of the university.
🏅 Men’s competition results:
• 1st place – Berdен Nusipzhan (Faculty of Humanities)
• 2nd place – Malik Yelubayev (Zhansugurov College)
• 3rd place – Azat Kurman (Zhansugurov College)
🏅 Women’s competition results:
• 1st place – Madina Erlankyzy
• 2nd place – Akbota Tөken (Zhansugurov College)
• 3rd place – Gulnur Tangirbergenova (Faculty of Law and Economics)
In the overall team standings, 1st place was claimed by the Faculty of Humanities, 2nd place went to Zhetysu University College, and 3rd place was awarded to the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology.
The winners and prize-winners were awarded the Chairman of the Board – Rector’s Cup, along with diplomas and medals.
