Today, an Open Day was held at the Military Department of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov as part of military-patriotic education for students.
The event was attended by representatives of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Taldykorgan Garrison and the Military Police Department, unit commanders, the Vice-Rector of Zhetysu University for Social Work and Youth Policy, as well as staff members of the Military Department.
During the event, students viewed various types of military equipment and weapons and became familiar with the department’s educational, material, and technical facilities, including training and drill grounds. They also observed demonstrations by service dogs and visited simulator complexes designed for firearms training.
Experienced military personnel explained the strategic importance of military professions, answered students’ questions, and encouraged the younger generation to defend the Motherland and ensure national security.
More than 160 students from six faculties of the university took part in the Open Day.
