A regional debate tournament on the theme “Law and Order” was held among students at the premises of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov.
The intellectual competition, aimed at developing critical thinking skills, fostering civic engagement, and strengthening legal responsibility among young people, was jointly organized by the university and Zhansugurov College.
At the opening ceremony, the Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Youth Policy, Bolat Seriev, delivered a welcoming address, emphasizing the significance of the event. He highlighted that cultivating legal culture among youth is one of the key drivers of societal development.
During the tournament, which tested participants’ oratory skills and analytical thinking, teams from several educational institutions across the Zhetysu region demonstrated a high level of preparedness and intellectual engagement. Students from music, innovation, medical, agricultural, polytechnic, and agrotechnical colleges, as well as Zhansugurov College, actively participated in the debates.
Throughout the discussions, participants thoroughly examined issues related to the rule of law, public order, and civic responsibility, presenting their positions with well-reasoned arguments. Their strong engagement and in-depth analysis clearly reflected the high level of legal awareness and moral literacy among the students.
Following the results of the tournament, the winners and prizewinners were awarded diplomas, letters of appreciation, and valuable prizes.
🥇 First place was awarded to the Zhansugurov College team,
🥈 Second place went to the Kanabek Bayseitov Music College team,
🥉 Third place was claimed by the Koksu Agricultural College team.
The title of “Best Speaker” was awarded to Aizhan Aikyn, a student of the Kanabek Bayseitov Music College, for her outstanding argumentation skills and intellectual agility.
Overall, the regional debate tournament brought together approximately 150 students.
