Artificial Intelligence and Historical Education: A Sectional Meeting Held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University

On February 2, 2026, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted a sectional meeting of the project group responsible for training teachers of humanities. Within the History section, a session titled “Historical Education and AI: Developing the Teacher’s Digital-Pedagogical Competence” was held. Today, the use of artificial intelligence to model learning processes is rapidly expanding in the education sector, contributing to more effective teaching. AI provides university instructors and students with a wide range of new opportunities.

PhD B.T. Kaliyeva, lecturer at the Department of History and Social-Humanities Disciplines, delivered a presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence in Scholarly Work: Transforming Approaches to Writing Academic Studies.” She discussed the use of AI technologies in modeling the educational process and provided detailed information about the implementation of “History” academic programs in higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the current practices of integrating AI into teaching.
