








Today, the Center for Interdisciplinary Social Research was officially opened at the Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov. The Center was established within the framework of program-targeted funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the following projects:
BR24992927 “Integrative Study of Ludomania in Kazakhstan and the Development of Multidisciplinary Strategies for Its Reduction,”
BR24993269 “The Evolution and Transformation of the Value Orientations of Kazakhstani Society during the Period of Independence,”
BR27195163 “The Architectonics of Transforming the Organizational Culture of Kazakhstan’s Civil Service.”
At the opening ceremony, the Rector of Zhetysu University, Yermek Buribayev, noted that this important initiative reflects the strong support being provided for the development of higher education and science. He emphasized that the new Constitution prioritizes the advancement of education and research, and expressed confidence that many new initiatives will be successfully implemented within the framework of these projects in the future.
The Chairman of the University’s Council of Veterans, lecturer and Candidate of Historical Sciences Amangeldi Katenov, highlighted that the Center is equipped in accordance with modern standards and provides favorable conditions for organizing seminars and scientific conferences. On behalf of the university community, he expressed gratitude for the establishment of such an important academic platform.
