
On April 8, 2026, at the Biotechnology and Ecology Research Institute, a roundtable discussion “Innovations in Science: for Young Researchers” was organized and held. The moderator was Dr. Kanat Yermerkbayev, Ph.D, Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics and Genomics.
During the event, presentations were delivered on next‑generation sequencing technologies and their application in studying the microbiome of dairy products, as well as on the role of Speed Breeding in modern plant breeding. Dr. Sagyman Zhadyra and Aibek Abduakassov shared the results of their scientific research.
Special attention was given to the brainstorming session, where participants discussed ways to enhance youth innovation activity, barriers to implementing scientific ideas, and prospects for interdisciplinary collaboration. The roundtable became a platform for exchanging experiences, ideas, and proposals, as well as for strengthening scientific ties among young researchers.
At the conclusion of the roundtable, participants expressed their readiness to continue joint research, initiate new projects, and expand scientific cooperation. The event marked an important step in fostering innovation among young scientists and in reinforcing collaboration in the fields of biotechnology and ecology.
