Today, Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov hosted a judo competition among students for the Cup of the Chairman of the Board – Rector.
A total of 5 teams, representing four faculties and the university’s college, took part in the tatami contest.
The athletes competed across the following weight categories: 60 kg, 66 kg, 73 kg, 81 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg, and over 100 kg.
According to the overall team standings, the winners were determined as follows:
1st place – Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology
2nd place – Faculty of Physics and Mathematics
3rd place – Faculty of Law and Economics
The winning teams and prize-winning students were awarded the Chairman of the Board – Rector’s Cup, along with certificates and valuable prizes.
